Privacy
Last updated: October 2026. Early-access version. The privacy policy inside the app is the one that applies to the app; this page summarizes the same approach.
LAYAK needs no account. Your preferences stay on your device by default. We don't sell your data and we show no ads.
What stays on your device
- Language, country, budget and priorities.
- Saved products, price targets and your simulated-savings history.
- Local interest scores used to order recommendations. They fade by about 10% each week and are never sent to us.
- Your experience rating.
- Optional usage measurement events (off by default).
What the app sends
To load categories and, in later builds, store offers, the app asks our server for catalog data for a product domain and the country you selected. It does not send your search text, saved items or interest scores. Like any internet request, our server and its hosting provider may see technical details such as your IP address in logs.
Price alerts are checked on your device when you open or refresh the app. Remote push notifications and email updates are not active in the current early-access build. If we enable them later, it will be with your explicit choice.
Stores and links
When you open a store, that store's own privacy policy applies. When affiliate links are live, the store or its network may set its own identifiers on its site.
Optional usage measurement
Off by default and stored locally. You can view, export and delete it in the app.
Your controls
- Export your data as a readable report, or as raw data for technical use.
- Delete your local data, reset interests, turn off personalization and notifications.
- Uninstalling the app removes local data from your device.
Service providers
We use hosting for our catalog service and a build and distribution service for the app. They process technical data needed to run those services.
Children
LAYAK is not directed to children.
This website
This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics and loads no third-party scripts or fonts. If you email us, we keep your message only to reply and to improve LAYAK.
